Cisco Industrial Ethernet 4010 Series Switches

Increase industrial network resilience and scalability

The Cisco Industrial Ethernet 4010 Series Switches offer a highly secure, reliable, and scalable Industrial Ethernet platform. Built to withstand extreme environments, they provide high-bandwidth switching to help improve uptime and performance for connecting to IP cameras, access points, and IP phones in factories, utility substations, oil and gas fields, and more.

Features and benefits

Reliable performance in harsh environments

IE 4010 Series switches can help reduce downtime. They are hardened for shock, vibration, and extended temperature range from -40 to 75C. They also support redundancy and resiliency ring protocols for fault tolerant operation.

Lower costs with greater inline power

IE 4010 Series switches are easy to install and deliver up to 385W of PoE power budget. They support 24-port Gigabit Power-over-Ethernet (PoE) or 12-port PoE+ in a fully enclosed self-cooled, fanless design.

Superior bandwidth and performance

IE 4010 features high-performance non-blocking switching capacity with 28 Gigabit Ethernet ports per switch for a range of high-bandwidth applications.

Easily deploy and manage IE 4000 switches with

Cisco Industrial Network Director, an easy-to-use network manager for non-IT operations personnel. It also features zero-touch deployment and express setup with a swappable SD flash card.

Enterprise grade security

IE 4010 delivers secure policy enforcement and advanced switch security features. It also supports Cisco IOS Flexible NetFlow for  advanced packet flow analysis and monitoring to improve network utilization and detect security incidents.

"Industrial networks are vital strategic components for addressing today's macroeconomic, competitive, and regulatory challenges. A converged approach that incorporates IT, OT, and security requirements for centralized management and visibility is necessary to ensure secure, resilient communications from the production environment throughout the enterprise."

Chantal Polsonetti, Vice President, Advisory Services, ARC

Use cases

Utilities

Transform the grid with multi-application networks for protection, remote diagnostics, and maintenance. Reduce risks by securing access and control systems, meet regulations, and improve cybersecurity and incident response.

Outdoor spaces

Extend the enterprise network outdoors to offer new customer experiences. Integrate physical security and surveillance, emergency response systems, digital signage, and wireless networks with the enterprise network.

Warehouse and distribution centers

Increase efficiency with connected systems. Improve tracking for assets, inventory, and machinery with secure and reliable connectivity for automated sorters, conveyors, controllers and more. IE 4010s can connect critical systems as well as wireless devices and phones.
